Notification groups
Signal topics
The Signals group breaks down into topics you can toggle individually:
Discovered signals only notify once they pass the promotion gate, so a one-off failure never pings anyone.
Severity filtering
The Signals and Monitors groups carry a minimum-severity filter on the shared low, medium, high, urgent scale. A monitor alert’s severity is set on its alert card; a signal’s severity is its triage priority, and its escalation notifications use the higher of the incident’s severity and the signal’s priority. An email is delivered when its group is on, its topic is on, and its severity clears your minimum. One caveat: new-signal and regressed notifications carry no severity until the signal is triaged, and a notification without a severity passes every threshold, so a minimum severity mainly filters escalations and monitor alerts.Where to configure
- Email: Settings → Personal → Account → Email notifications, inside any project. One card per group with its toggle and, where they apply, the signal topics and the severity selector. Preferences are per user and cover all your projects; in-app notifications appear in the bell regardless.
- Slack: the Slack integration card under Settings → Organization → Integrations. Each routable group gets a channel, or Don’t send; Assigned to you and Billing are not routable to Slack. The Signals route also carries the topic checkboxes, and the Signals and Monitors routes each carry their own minimum severity, shown once a channel is picked. Slack routing is organization-wide and independent from personal email preferences.
